Outpatient Rehab
No one plans to need Physical Therapy, but if you do, you want a Rehab Center that is experienced, caring and conveniently located. Advent Christian Village’s Outpatient Rehab Center is all of those things to the residents of Dowling Park and the surrounding communities.
Located in Copeland Medical Center, ACV Rehab is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. Anita Jackson, RPT heads up the team of qualified Physical, Occupational and Speech therapists. Each therapist is skilled in assessing and treating physical and speech-related conditions. Their goal is to help every patient achieve a full and lasting recovery. All services provided are customized to meet an individual’s specific needs and goals. ACV Rehab specializes in the following:
Geriatrics
Osteoporosis
Joint injuries & fractures
Post-surgical joint repair
Pain management
Post stroke
Balance & gait disorders
Swallowing and speech disorders
Cognitive & communication problems
Activities of daily living training
Hand therapy needs
In addition, ACV offers in-patient Physical Therapy under the same leadership. For example, say that Mrs. Smith has knee replacement surgery and needs more time to recover before returning home independently. She can be admitted to Good Samaritan Center, where she receives physical therapy during her stay. Once she is well enough to live independently again, she can return home and seamlessly continue receiving therapy at ACV Outpatient Rehab until completely recovered.
For members of ACV, the shuttle bus can transport them to and from their appointment, alleviating the need to ask a friend or family member for a ride. The bus is equipped with a lift to assist those for whom stairs are a hardship.
