Dr. Tim Laniak Keynote Speaker

Sunday–Tuesday, morning and evening
Dr. Tim LaniakActing Academic Dean of the Charlotte campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Associate Professor of Old Testament and author of four books, Dr. Tim Laniak also enjoys a rich teaching ministry. Drawing from his experiences while living in Israel and ministering in other cultures, he brings a unique understanding of the Old Testament and a wealth of insight.

“Tim is a phenomenal teacher. He brings a depth of knowledge to his teachings that are inspiring for all,” says Rev. Marty McCarthy of Charlotte, NC. “After earning his Doctorate in Theology from Harvard, Tim wanted to understand the metaphor of the Great Shepherd, used often in Scripture. So, Tim took his family and lived with the Bedouin tribes of the near east for more than a year to more fully grasp the point. The result of this, and his other experiences is that his teaching is a joy.”
