Committed to Everyone’s Health & Well being

At Advent Christian Village, our first priority is the health and well being of our residents and staff. The best way to prevent the Coronavirus is to avoid contact with those who are sick or have been exposed. We are doing all we can to protect the vulnerable population of this community to the best of our abilities. Therefore, ACV facilities are closed to all but the members and staff of Advent Christian Village. We request that all persons refrain from visiting the ACV campus and/or ACV residents for the foreseeable future. We encourage family members and friends to stay in contact via phone, mail and email. We are communicating detailed updates to ACV members on a daily basis. They are encouraged to direct questions through their Service Coordinators.

  • Staff screenings– All staff members are participating in health screenings and temperature checks daily prior to their shift. They are given a different colored sticker for their badge each day to indicate clearance for work.
  • Vendor screenings– All vendors entering Village facilities are undergoing the same screenings daily and being given stickers to indicate clearance to enter.

Please understand that the precautions being taken are subject to change quickly in response to new information. Please check back often for the latest update.

Stay Healthy Tips

In any situation, the best way to prevent infection is to take measures to avoid being exposed. Although you may recover relatively easily from the virus, someone you may infect may not. The elderly are most at risk. Everyone is being urged to practice these basic tips from the CDC:

  • Stay home if you are sick or have been exposed.
  • Avoid close contact with others as much as possible (about 6 feet apart.)
  • Find alternatives to handshakes and hugs.
  • Do not touch your face, especially eyes, nose and mouth, with unwashed hands.
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and hot water, rubbing vigorously for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use alcohol-based (at least 60%) hand sanitizer to supplement frequent hand-washing.
  • Call ahead before visiting medical professionals.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue. Then discard the tissue and wash your hands.
  • Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.

We are communicating regularly with our Advent Christian Village Family – residents, member, staff, contractors, business partners and frequent visitors.  You can read our updates here:
