At Advent Christian Village, we encourage our members to take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings of the community. For the more adventurous type, enjoy pontoon boat rides or canoeing on the Suwannee River. Or, take a quiet stroll or bike ride on the miles of trails and paths located across the campus. The nature trail that follows the Suwannee for three miles is great for bird watching or just enjoying God’s wonderful creation.
Our leisure activities for seniors don’t stop there. Build toys for underprivileged children in the woodworking shop, feed your creativity in the art studio, join a club, cultivate your green thumb in the community garden, participate in church ministries, and so much more! While your time is your own, many of our members find fulfillment by volunteering in the Village shops or offices, while others publish the weekly Friendly Neighbor News, serve as art instructors or tour guides, or a variety of other pursuits. Whatever your passions may be, an array of activities awaits you at Advent Christian Village.
Because Advent Christian Village is a melting pot of various faiths, backgrounds, and lifestyles, its members possess any number of talents. Whether you enjoy sculpting clay, painting portraits, singing, designing jewelry or raising orchids, you’ll find a group of like-minded people ready to learn from you and, in turn, to teach you some new techniques.
