Access to delicious meals and maintaining proper nutrition levels can be one of the most important considerations for seniors when making a lifestyle change to a senior living community. At ACV, the opportunity to enjoy quality, healthy and delicious meal options is a wonderful part of the senior living experience.
Phillips Center, located in the heart of Advent Christian Village at Village Centre, offers to members and guests two dining options: the Ann & Quinton Rumph Dining Room and the Lopin’ Gopher deli.
The Ann & Quinton Rumph Dining Room is where seniors, their families, ACV staff, and ACV’s guests receive noon meals served cafeteria style daily. This beautifully-appointed dining room has a seating capacity of 350 and is the main setting for ACV’s formal banquets and community-wide celebrations, and is available to rent by outside organizations for catered events.
The Lopin’ Gopher deli, open seven days a week, serves breakfast, lunch and supper fast fare (including a delicious ice cream selection). The deli was named after the LOP&G Railroad that served Dowling Park from the turn of the century through the 1950s. At the deli, patrons can order food and enjoy it at either the adjacent “Horton’s Landing,” a casual dining area named for the old Dowling Park ferry landing, or at another location of their choosing.
Another commercial dining option that ACV offers is the Village Café, a quaint dining venue located at the Village Square. Here you can browse the charming shops and relax with a cup of coffee, or enjoy a piece of pie, meet friends for a work-week lunch, or gather with family for a casual evening meal. Seasonal riverside dining is also available.
