Members can take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings. Pontoon Boat rides on the Suwannee River are popular and canoeing is available for those who are more adventurous. You can stroll or bike on the miles of trails and paths located across the campus. The nature trail that follows the Suwannee for nearly two miles is great for bird watching or just enjoying God’s wonderful creation.
An array of activities awaits you. Build toys for underprivileged children in the woodworking shop, feed your creativity in the art studio, join a club, get back to nature on 3-mile trail that follows the Suwannee River, cultivate your green thumb in the community garden, participate in church ministries and so much more. While your time is your own, many of our members find fulfillment by volunteering in the Village shops or offices, others publish the weekly newspaper, serve as art instructors, tour guides, hosts, and a variety of other pursuits.
Just as Advent Christian Village is a melting pot of various faiths, backgrounds and professions, its members also contain any number of talents. Whether you enjoy sculpting clay, painting portraits, singing, designing jewelry or raising orchids, you'll find a group of like-minded people ready to learn from you and, in turn, to teach you some new techniques. Some groups are organized to meet regularly while others have space and equipment that may be used often as desired. A few of the groups are:
