Untreated Hearing Loss: Effects and Who to See


Think about the people you have met who have an obvious hearing loss. Do they seem to be delayed and even disoriented during conversations? Do they repeat things or start conversations on topics that have already been discussed? Do they have the appearance of being uninterested in what is being said? Do they talk incessantly and never give others a chance to speak?

The Gainesville Pops will perform an armed forces salute at Advent Christian Village on May 27.

Gainesville Pops to Celebrate Armed Forces in Dowling Park


Last Spring, the Gainesville Pops (Gainesville, Florida) or “GPops” came to Dowling Park and played a well-received armed forces salute concert. The event was so well liked, the GPops performed again at ACV at Christmastime. ACV is pleased to announce that the GPops are returning for a third concert in Dowling Park — a 3:00 matinee armed forces salute — on Saturday, May 27.

Advent Christian Village Supports Youth Through Educational Scholarships


Advent Christian Village (ACV) has been ministering to children for over 100 years. Today, that continues in a number of ways, including the administration of educational scholarships: the Forward Fund Scholarship and the Marvin E. Jones Scholarship.

Good Samaritan Center, Advent Christian Village (ACV) at Dowling Park’s skilled nursing center, is excited to announce that they have received a 5-star rating from CMS, the US government’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which is part of the Department of Health and Human Services.
