Live! at Dowling Park Artist Series

At Advent Christian Village, our senior living activities are designed to create engaging experiences for everyone in the community to enjoy. That’s exactly what the Live! at Dowling Park artist series accomplishes. This series has offered a variety of performances right in the heart of the Village — a unique opportunity to see amazing performances featuring music, dance, drama, photography, and even comedy from local, national and international artists — affordably.

Season passes and individual tickets may be purchased from the ACV cashier (386-658-5343). Individual tickets will also be available at each event. Individual ticket prices are listed with each performance’s information. Season pass information is located below the following event information.

You Ju Lee & Paul Warner, Piano & Cello

Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 • 7:00 p.m.

The Village Church

Join celebrated artists Paul Warner (cello) and You Ju Lee (piano) for an unforgettable evening of Romantic chamber music. This powerful duo explores the expressive depth and lyrical beauty of 19th-century Europe through two masterful sonatas that showcase both intimacy and virtuosity. With stirring melodies, rich harmonies, and dynamic interplay between cello and piano, this concert promises a moving journey through the passion, nuance, and innovation of the Romantic era.

Gainesville Brass Quintet

Hailing from central Florida, the Gainesville Brass Quintet delivers dynamic performances packed with energy, precision and heart. This ensemble explores a wide-ranging repertoire — from baroque and fanfares, to classical masterworks and contemporary gems — always bringing a fresh perspective and inviting audience connection.

Gainesville Harmony Show Chorus

Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 • 4:00 p.m.

The Village Church

Gainesville Harmony Show Chorus has entertained north-central Florida since 1974, earning numerous awards in the small chorus division of Sweet Adelines International. The group performs a cappella music in styles ranging from barbershop to pop and gospel. Members rehearse weekly and regularly sing at community events like the Thomas Center Tree Lighting, Ronald McDonald House, and U.S. naturalization ceremonies.

American Tune: Simon, Croce & Taylor Tribute

Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026 • 7:00 p.m.

The Village Church

Tom Glynn’s American Tune: Simon, Croce & Taylor will take you on a magical trip back to the 1970s to experience the timeless music of these three prolific singer-songwriters. Relive the intimate storytelling, intricate chord changes and breathtaking melodies of these gifted artists — their work building on and transcending the more traditional folk-influenced acoustic music of the previous decade.

Storysmith Susan Marie Frontczak is Clara Barton: Between the Bullet and the Hospital

Friday, Jan. 23, 2026 • 7:00 p.m.

Bixler Chapel

Follow American hero Clara Barton to the battlefield as she tends to wounded soldiers, and find out why they thought of her as their “Angel.” Along the way, learn how a childhood experience with family tragedy, early lessons in arithmetic and composition, and a love of adventure led her to volunteer her nursing services during the Civil War. This program consists of a monologue in-character, followed by Q&As with “Clara Barton” and then with the scholar/presenter.

Amber Lee Abbott, Gospel Soloist

Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 • 7:00 p.m.

Bixler Chapel

Amber Abbott, a gospel singer-songwriter from Madison, Florida, is deeply rooted in the traditions of Southern music. Raised in Hamilton County, she began her musical journey singing with her grandfather’s bluegrass band and later studied music at the Baptist College of Florida. Over the years, Abbott has released multiple albums, including a gospel collection featuring original songs co-written with her husband, Trent, and her mother, Angie Lee. She leads the praise team at Suwannee Station Baptist Church in Live Oak and is committed to using her music to share her faith and connect with her community.

Willing Heart, Southern Gospel Trio

Monday, March 9, 2026 • 7:00 p.m.

The Village Church

Willing Heart has been singing for more than 25 years. This Wilmington, N.C., group has sung from New York to Florida and many places in between. Tight Southern Gospel harmonies are part of the heritage and style of this trio. The current group consists of Laurie Kelly, soprano; Gail Heath, alto; and Joey Gore, baritone. You will be blessed and encouraged in your walk with the Lord from this inspiring night of Gospel music.

Joel Raney, Piano

Saturday, March 28, 2026 • 7:00 p.m.

The Village Church

Joel Raney is a renowned composer, pianist, and music editor whose distinctive blend of gospel roots and classical training has made a lasting impact on church music. With degrees in choral conducting and piano performance from the University of North Alabama and The Juilliard School, Joel brings both passion and precision to his work. He has published over 250 compositions — ranging from choral anthems to piano solos — and serves as editor for Hope Publishing. A dynamic performer and clinician, Joel tours extensively across North America, sharing concerts and leading workshops. He currently serves as minister of music at First Baptist Church of Oak Park, Illinois.

Advent Christian Village offers season passes for those who wish to attend all or most of the upcoming performances. ACV season pass holders not only receive an overall savings when attending all of the Live! at Dowling Park artist series performances, they can also take advantage of the reciprocity agreement between ACV and Community Concerts of Lake City and attend the six 2024-25 concert season performances in Lake City at no extra charge.
